Cricket India – Youngsters are ready to catch
"It is the time for the selection committee to take a strong decision if they should go with their players bio-data or choose the young talents. The team must be chose on the basis of performance and fitness but not with the names."

Team India is now ready to take up with the young generation as bad form and physical fitness have been the main problem of the seniors. After success in T20 world cup, the CB series against Australia and also the one day series success in Sri Lanka after 30 years, the selection committee sees the youngsters in the team more reliable for the forthcoming series with Australia. Senior brigade is losing its popularity after terrible defeat in the test series.
With a hope to winning the test series against Sri Lanka men in blue started their tour to Sri Lanka. Opinions of the cricket experts are in the favour of Team India because some experienced players like Sachin Tendulkar (most successful batsman of Indian cricket history), Rahul Dravid (wall of Indian cricket team), Saurav Ganguly (most successful captain and experienced batsman), Anil Kumble (India’s bowling sensation and Captain of the series), VVS Laxman (popular for his stylish batting) were in the team. No one expected Team India to lose the test series against Sri Lanka. Top ranking players could not sustain in the field. The most successful batting line up lost their wickets just like the house of cards.
It is the time for the selection committee to take a strong decision if they should go with their players bio-data or choose the young talents. The team must be chose on the basis of performance and fitness but not with the names.
Certain changes are made in one day cricket team after losing the league level match in world cup 2007. A bold decision taken by the selection committee to take the youngsters in the one day squad was a surprise for us. But their performance and skill on the field justifies the decision of the selection committee. The victory in T20 world cup and in the CB series against Australia clearly shows that youngsters are ready to over take seniors.
The decision to quiet theT20 world cup by the seniors was a golden opportunity for the youngsters. Their performance and physical fitness on the fields help team to win the T20 world cup. Later on the win of one day series in Australia after long years make the selection committee to think.
The only hope for the seniors is now to get chance in the test team. But their performance in the last test series against Sri Lanka was not good. The strongest batting line of world cricket was not able to play the new spinner Ajanthja mendis.

The selection committee is keen to form different teams for each type of cricket. But this strategy is not good for cricket because players are getting less chance to shows their talent in all type of cricket. They must create a team in which all players are able to play any type of cricket. They can use the rotation policy towards the players by which new players can show their talent and players can be given rest in a busy schedule to be ready for the next games.
Cricket has been the craze in India. It is like the sports religion. In such a country people expect more from the players. The audience admire players who perform well but they became quite reactive to non-performing players as it happened when Team India didn’t qualify for the super six matches in world cup 2007.
Now, India sees a competition among players to get a berth in the team. The development of domestic cricket and introduction of IPL have made way for youngsters getting into national cricket and display their talent. The win of India team in Under-19 World cup assures of more promising players in the days to come.
